KORICANCHA AND CONVENT OF SANTO DOMINGO

Given the protagonism of The Order of the Dominicos in the conquest of the Peru, for the construction of the church and the convent of the order the Spaniards could not choose better place that the most important monument in the Tahuantinsuyo: the Qoricancha, the biggest adoratorio for the cult of the god Sun. 

The Spanish columnists affirm that it was one of the constructions more impactantes of the Incan Cusco. In the interior, the walls of finely refined stone shone decorations in gold and silver that represented diverse idols and, mainly, the star king. 

In two of the sides of the cloister, the colonial construction has been disassembled to leave to the overdraft the temples that surrounded to the main adoratorio. They are magnificent canterķa constructions, perforated by niches and vain trapezoidal, where he/she surrendered cult to the moon, the ray, the thunder and the rainbow
