CHOQUEQUIRAO

Choquequirao (3.085m) is situated on top of a mountain in the province of Cusco. It is said that these ruins were the last refuge of the Inca´s Sons. This amazing fortress was build during the government of Inca Pachacutec.

The total area of palaces, temples, sources, canals and aqueduct is still unknown. Only 30% of this huge complex is explored. The rest is covered by vegetation and is waiting for its discovery. Choquequirao, in Spanish “Golden Cradle”, offers an amazing bio-diversity, and with a little bit of luck we can see the majestic condor or a spectacled bear. 

Since 1992 tourists are going to Choquequirao and only a few visitors take on the strain, because of this remote area and ambitious hike.During this trip we can enjoy giant mountains, breathtaking cliffs, splendid snow peaks and spectacular canyons.
